Role Overview

The Associate Principal will focus on Brand and Commercial Strategy or Pricing and Market Access (PMA) Strategy within our Life Sciences practice. This high-impact, senior role involves shaping market access, pricing, reimbursement, or commercial development and launch strategies for life sciences clients. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, helping clients navigate complex policy and commercialization challenges across the product lifecycle, and contribute to the growth of our practice.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage medium to large-sized projects from start to finish, ensuring high quality, profitability, and client satisfaction.
  • Provide intellectual leadership and high-level input to clients and delivery teams, advising on optimal commercial, price and/or access strategies, by understanding payer, HCP and patient needs globally.
  • Oversee and synthesize primary and secondary research efforts, to develop robust conclusions, implications and actionable recommendations.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, support proposal development, and contribute to thought leadership activities to enhance the firm's market presence.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships through effective communication and excellent delivery.
  • Help to recruit, develop, and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture and ensuring knowledge transfer across the practice.
Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (PhD, ABD, MA/MS, DBA, MBA) or equivalent work experience
  • At least 6+ years of extensive experience consulting to life sciences companies on brand and commercial strategy issues and/or with expertise in global pricing and market access strategy development
  • Proven management and business development skills within life sciences
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize and apply a variety of analytic and research techniques to develop recommendations for clients
  • Recognized ability to present, facilitate, and/or provide expert guidance on key life science industry or functional issues
  • Experience in contributing to professional development of junior staff
  • Ability to identify new business opportunities and support conversion into project work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English as well as German
  • Familiarity with a professional service culture and ability to relate to people across all levels of the company
  • Embracing a 3-day in office model in our Munich office, to engage hands on with the local team, combined with necessary travel for client engagements

Work Location Flexibility
