To support this expansion, they are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Account Manager DACH who can build, grow, and strengthen the commercial presence in the region.

The company is active across multiple European markets and is now preparing for a new phase of commercial expansion, with the DACH region being a central focus.

The Role

As Account Manager DACH, you are the commercial face of Rival Foods across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, with a primary focus on Germany. You will be responsible for both new business development and expanding existing accounts within foodservice, retail, and hospitality.

You will work closely with our Commercial Director, the international sales team, and cross‑functional teams such as Product Development and Operations. This is a hands‑on, independent, commercially focused role suited for someone who enjoys building, owning, and scaling a market.

What You Will Do

Business Development & Sales

  • Proactively identify and approach potential customers in foodservice, retail, and hospitality.
  • Build and grow a strong customer base across the DACH region.
  • Lead commercial meetings with key accounts and head buyers.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms.

Account Management

  • Build, nurture, and expand long‑term customer relationships.
  • Guide product launches and pilots at customer locations.
  • Maintain regular customer contact through visits, calls, and events.
  • Ensure high client satisfaction and continuous growth.

Market Ownership & Strategy

  • Monitor market trends and identify commercial opportunities in plant‑based.
  • Represent Rival Foods at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Collect and relay customer insights to the product and operations teams.
  • Work closely with the sales team to enhance growth and customer success.
Who You Are

Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in sales or account management.
  • Background in foodservice, gastronomy, retail, meat industry, or plant‑based is strongly valued.
  • Confident in presenting to major accounts and category buyers.
  • Experience in independently building or scaling a market or region.

Skills & Mindset

  • Strong commercial acumen and a results‑driven mentality.
  • A self‑starter who enjoys autonomy and ownership.
  • Entrepreneurial, energetic, and pragmatic.
  • Excellent communication skills in German (native or fluent) and English.
  • Genuine interest in gastronomy, sustainability, innovation, and plant‑based products.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Germany.

Location

  • Ideally based in Germany
  • Occasional travel to the Netherlands (Amersfoort/Eindhoven) for meetings and factory visits.
