Your mission

We’re looking for a driven and entrepreneurial Account Manager to oversee our operations in the DACH region. Your core mission will be to grow the P&L in the DACH region by sourcing, negotiating, and executing profitable steel transactions. This role combines analytical insight with strategic relationship management and is key to accelerating Vanilla Steel’s expansion in the European market. You’ll play an integral role in shaping our trading activities, building lasting relationships with suppliers and buyers, and ensuring operational excellence across the deal lifecycle.

You can expect to:

  • Manage and grow Vanilla Steel’s trading and brokerage activity in DACH region
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key German-speaking clients - maintaining strong relationships with both suppliers and buyers
  • Source and close profitable trading deals, working closely with our operations team to ensure smooth execution and logistics
  • Identify and reach out to potential new clients - through cold calls, emails, and meetings - to expand our customer base
  • Analyze operational workflows to drive efficiency and support scalability
  • Provide regular performance insights and market feedback to the broader team
Your profile
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive to meet and exceed targets
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands‑on approach
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities
  • Strong technical aptitude & comfortable utilizing internal tools
  • Native German and English fluent (both written and spoken)
  • Proficient with CRM tools - Hubspot experience is a strong advantage
  • Well‑organized and able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Nice to have: experience in sales and/or account management, ideally in B2B or industrial sectors
