AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to operate and improve a Snowflake-based data platform in a regulated healthcare environment. You will own day-to-day operations, optimize production and non-production environments, and drive data ingestion and dbt modeling across RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION layers.

You'll mentor engineers, expand observability, and lead major data incidents while coordinating with Cloud/DevOps, Analytics, Security, and governance teams.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Advanced SQL and dbt for transformation, testing and lineage.
• Snowflake experience with data-layer design and performance.
• Experience with Fivetran or HVR and ingestion pipelines.
• AWS data services including S3 and event/file ingestion.
• Argo Workflows/Kubernetes for data workloads.
• Python or similar language for tooling and automation.
• Data modeling, dependencies, schema evolution, backfills, QA.
• Observability, logging, alerts, incident-management in production.
• Ability to lead incident resolution and preventive actions.
• Strong English communication with client stakeholders.
• Ability to work from 9-6 PT and participate in on-call.

Responsabilidades

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Data Platform during LatAm coverage.
• Operate Snowflake production/non-production environments and tuning.
• Administer data access with least-privilege controls and audit readiness.
• Operate and improve ingestion across Fivetran, HVR, and custom pipelines.
• Design, build, and maintain dbt models across RAW, CURATED, CONSUMPTION layers.
• Support AWS S3 data-lake operations and downstream Snowflake workloads.
• Coordinate Argo Workflows/Kubernetes with Cloud/DevOps teams.
• Define data quality and observability standards and checks.
• Expand monitoring and lineage with dbt, Snowflake, Splunk, and alerts.
• Lead or support major data incidents and post-incident reviews.
• Assist Tableau Cloud operations when upstream data issues arise.
• Drive standardization, automation, reliability, performance, and cost improvements.
• Follow service-management processes for incidents, requests, and changes.
• Create runbooks and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and ensure effective handoffs.
• Participate in Data Platform on-call rotation.
