Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to operate and enhance a Snowflake-based data platform in a regulated healthcare environment.

You will own day-to-day operations, oversee Snowflake production and non-production environments, coordinate ingestion pipelines, implement governance, and contribute to on-call rotation. Remote-friendly with flexible hours and cross-functional collaboration with Analytics and Security.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional data engineering experience.
Snowflake design, performance, access patterns, and troubleshooting.
Advanced SQL and dbt for transformations and testing.
Experience with Fivetran or HVR and data ingestion pipelines.
Hands-on AWS data services, especially S3 and ingestion patterns.
Orchestrating data workloads with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes.
Proficient in Python for data tooling.
Strong data modeling, schema evolution, and data quality.
Observability, logging, alerting, and incident management.
Lead complex incident resolution and preventive actions.
Ability to make tradeoffs and guide platform improvements.
Mentor engineers and collaborate with Cloud/DevOps, Analytics, Security, Governance, stakeholders.
Excellent written and spoken English; available for Pacific Time.

Responsibilities

Provide senior technical ownership for the Data Platform during LatAm coverage window.
Operate Snowflake production and non-production environments and optimize configuration.
Administer data access with least-privilege and audit readiness.
Oversee ingestion across Fivetran/HVR and custom pipelines.
Design, build, and maintain dbt models across RAW, CURATED, CONSUMPTION.
Support S3 data-lake operations with lifecycle and access controls.
Coordinate Argo Workflows and Kubernetes workloads with Cloud/DevOps.
Define data quality and observability standards and checks.
Expand monitoring/ lineage with SynQ, dbt, Snowflake audit data, Splunk.
Lead major data incidents and post-incident reviews.
Mentor mid-level engineers and ensure effective handoffs.
Participate in data platform on-call rotation.
