AgileEngine seeks a Senior Data Engineer to operate and improve a Snowflake-based data platform in a regulated healthcare environment. You will design data models, manage ingestion via Fivetran or HVR, and build robust dbt pipelines across RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION layers.

You will own data quality and observability, coordinate with Cloud/DevOps, Analytics, and Security teams, and mentor engineers while supporting Tableau Cloud operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake: data-layer design, performance, access patterns, and production troubleshooting.
• Advanced SQL and strong experience with dbt for transformation, testing, documentation, lineage, and controlled deployment.
• Experience operating managed ingestion tools such as Fivetran or HVR and supporting custom data-ingestion pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services, particularly S3 and ingestion patterns.
• Experience with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes or similar workflow orchestration tools.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering, automation, and tooling.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, pipeline dependencies, schema evolution, backfills, data quality, and production observability.
• Experience mentoring engineers and collaborating with Cloud/DevOps, Analytics, Security, Governance, and business stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Data Platform service tower during LatAm coverage window, including operations and escalation.
• Operate and optimize Snowflake production and non-production environments, including configuration, monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Administer data access with least-privilege controls and audit-ready practices.
• Oversee data ingestion across Fivetran, HVR, and custom pipelines, including scheduling, onboarding, and failure recovery.
• Design, build, and maintain robust dbt models across RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION layers with testing and lineage.
• Support AWS S3 data-lake operations, including lifecycle, access, and integration with Snowflake workloads.
• Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps for Argo Workflows and Kubernetes-hosted workloads, including deployment and troubleshooting.
• Define and improve data quality and observability standards, including freshness and schema checks.
• Enhance end-to-end monitoring and lineage using SYNQ, dbt, Snowflake audit data, Splunk, and alerting.
• Lead or support major data incidents and post-incident reviews with preventive actions across ingestion, orchestration, Snowflake, and Tableau dependencies.
• Support Tableau Cloud operations where upstream data access or refresh failures require investigation.
• Deliver standardization, automation, reliability, performance, and cost improvements; migrate legacy patterns to golden paths.
• Execute work through incident, request, access, change, and release processes; create runbooks and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and ensure effective handoffs across the distributed service team.
• Participate in Data Platform on-call rotation for critical incidents.
