AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to operate and enhance a Snowflake-based data platform within a regulated healthcare setting. You will own day-to-day data operations, optimize ingestion pipelines, and lead complex incident resolution while collaborating with Cloud/DevOps, Analytics, and Security teams.

The role requires 5+ years in data engineering, advanced SQL, dbt, Python, and hands-on Snowflake experience, plus strong data modeling, observability, and on-call readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering or data platform experience.
• Hands-on Snowflake design, performance, and troubleshooting.
• Advanced SQL and dbt for transformation, testing, and lineage.
• Experience with Fivetran or HVR ingestion tools.
• Proficient in Python and data tooling.
• Strong data modeling, dependencies, and data quality practices.
• Observability, logging, and incident-management for production data platforms.
• Ability to lead complex incident resolution and perform root-cause analysis.
• English communication skills and client-facing capability.
• Willingness for Pacific Time work window and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior ownership for the Data Platform during LatAm coverage, including operations and L2/L3 escalation.
• Operate Snowflake environments, including configuration, performance monitoring, and lifecycle.
• Administer data access with least-privilege controls and audit readiness.
• Oversee data ingestion via Fivetran/HVR and custom pipelines; manage schema changes.
• Design, build, and maintain pipelines and dbt models across RAW/CURATED/CONSUMPTION layers.
• Support S3 data-lake operations and downstream Snowflake workloads.
• Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps for Argo/Kubernetes workloads and deployments.
• Define data quality and observability standards with actionable runbooks.
• Lead data incidents, root-cause analyses, and preventive actions across stack.
• Mentor engineers and participate in on-call rotations.
