Go Lean Health seeks a Medical Virtual Assistant (MVA) to support the clinic's operational health. This remote, 30-hour-per-week role offers $6 per hour with a performance-based increase after 6 months.

The candidate will own workflows with minimal supervision, bringing sharp, proactive problem solving and strong English communication. Responsibilities include insurance verification, denied claims, EOB processing, patient balances, and claims processing, plus SOAP note monitoring, appointment

Formación

• 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes
• Strong English communication skills
• Strong executive presence and professional communication
• Mac OS user
• Attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proven leadership, ownership, or high-accountability experience

Responsabilidades

• Verify patient insurance after check-in and document information
• Review denied claims and assist with reprocessing
• Review and process EOB documents and clear backlogs
• Review outstanding balances and coordinate resolution
• Support claims processing (Cigna, VA) and escalation when needed
• Coordinate vendor payments and ensure timely tasks
• Monitor SOAP note completion and compliance
• Track missed and canceled appointments and identify trends
• Prepare reports on balances, missed/canceled appointments, EOB backlog, denied claims with insights
• Coordinate communication between provider, care team and admin staff
• Identify workflow gaps and propose practical solutions to improve efficiency
