Go Lean Health is seeking a highly capable Medical Virtual Assistant (MVA) to support the operational health of a busy clinic. This remote role expects sharp, proactive, and detail-oriented candidates who can own key workflows with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate will excel in English communication, build trust with the provider, and manage billing-related tasks, insurance verification, and claims processing while maintaining high accountability.

Formación

• Minimum of 1 year as Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong executive presence and professional communication style.
• Must be a Mac OS user.
• High attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven leadership, ownership, or high-accountability in prior roles.

Responsabilidades

• Verify insurance after patient check-in and document accurately.
• Review denied claims, identify reasons, and assist reprocessing.
• Review and process Explanation of Benefits (EOB).
• Review outstanding balances and coordinate resolution steps.
• Support claims workflows, including VAs and insurance providers.
• Assist with vendor payment coordination and check payments when needed.
• Monitor SOAP note completion and compliance.
• Track missed and canceled appointments and trends.
• Prepare reports on balances, appointments, EOB backlog, and denials.
• Support smooth communication between provider, care team, and staff.
• Identify workflow gaps and propose practical improvements.
