Job summary

Lean Solutions Group is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator in Barranquilla to manage shipment tracking, milestones, and carrier communications. You will support full lifecycle visibility from pickup to delivery, escalating issues promptly and maintaining accurate records.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in logistics, strong MS Office skills (Outlook/Excel), and experience with TMS systems. This full-time role may require night shifts and weekend coverage as shipments move through

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in Track & Trace, Logistics, Transportation, Dispatch, or related operations role.
• Full-time availability, including night shifts and weekends.
• Knowledge of U.S. domestic ground freight, including FTL, LTL, and intermodal transportation.
• Understanding of shipment lifecycle milestones from pickup through final delivery.
• Hands-on experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Experience communicating with carriers, drivers, dispatchers, and other transportation partners.
• English level: B2+ (written and verbal).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track shipments throughout the transportation lifecycle using phone, email, and TMS platforms.
• Maintain accurate load statuses, pickup and delivery milestones, ETAs, arrival/departure times, and location updates.
• Coordinate pickup appointments and confirm shipment details with carriers and drivers.
• Manage and follow up on pre-alerts and ensure required shipment information is available and accurate.
• Request and document ETA updates, shipment progress, and location information.
• Communicate with carriers, drivers, dispatchers, planners, and internal teams to support smooth shipment execution.
• Maintain detailed and accurate shipment records, notes, and updates within internal systems.
• Identify, communicate, and elevate delays, discrepancies, missed milestones, or other operational issues.
• Retrieve and validate shipment documentation when inconsistencies or missing information are identified.
• Forward Proofs of Delivery (PODs) and other required documentation to the appropriate departments.
• Ensure all assigned loads are actively monitored through successful delivery.
• Support accurate and timely updates throughout the full shipment lifecycle.

Candidates with experience in any one of these areas are encouraged to apply. Previous Track & Trace experience is also valuable, even if it is their only logistics-related experience.

The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable communicating with carriers, drivers, dispatchers, and internal teams to ensure shipments move according to plan and any issues are identified and escalated promptly.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate shipment information.
• Strong organizational, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify and accelerate operational issues in a timely manner.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
• English level: B2+, written and verbal.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
