CERN is seeking a Shipping Officer within its Shipping Unit to organise and coordinate import and export transport worldwide by road, air, sea and rail.

You will manage shipments including chemicals, radioactive materials and other regulated goods, advise users, and ensure compliance with international regulations to maintain a smooth global supply chain.

Aufgaben

• Review, correct, and validate transport requests, and organise import and export shipments by road, air, sea, and rail.
• Ensure compliance with transport, customs, and dangerous goods regulations, and prepare and verify transport and customs documentation.
• Coordinate shipments with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery.
• Advise CERN users on transport and logistics solutions, prepare transport quotations, and recommend the most suitable shipping options.
• Verify and approve transport invoices.
