CERN is seeking a Shipping Officer to organise and coordinate import/export transport worldwide by road, air, sea, and rail. You will handle regulated goods, prepare documentation, advise users, and ensure compliance with international regulations in CERN's global supply chain.
You will review requests, coordinate with carriers and internal teams, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery while providing excellent customer service and continuous process improvements.
As a Shipping Officer in CERN's Shipping Unit, you will organise and coordinate the import and export transportation of goods worldwide by road, air, sea, and rail. You will manage a wide range of shipments, including chemicals, radioactive materials, dual-use items, and other regulated goods, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant transport operations.
You will coordinate transport requests, prepare documentation and quotations, advise CERN users, and ensure compliance with international regulations, contributing to the smooth and reliable movement of goods across CERN's global supply chain.
Job closing date: 04.10.2026 at 23:59 CEST.
Contract duration: 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.
Working hours: 40 hours per week
