Job summary

Boschung Mecatronic AG is seeking an IT Support Technician to strengthen our Customer Service and IT Infrastructure teams in Switzerland. The role focuses on Linux-based systems, IT service administration, and international customer support, with opportunities to work across infrastructure, software and networks.

You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain IT services, contribute to platform reliability, and collaborate with several departments to ensure smooth operation of our bVision

Qualifications

• CFC in Information Technology or equivalent qualification
• Practical experience in IT support, system administration or infrastructure support
• Good understanding of GNU/Linux systems, Debian-based environments
• Knowledge of network administration and VPN/VLAN technologies
• Able to troubleshoot across systems, applications and networks
• Familiarity with MySQL or other databases is an advantage
• Good command of English and German; French is an advantage
• Structured, reliable and hands-on mindset; able to work independently with teams
• Good communication and service orientation
• Curious and motivated to learn and improve systems

Responsibilities

• Implement new IT infrastructure services and maintain related documentation
• Support and troubleshoot IT infrastructure components and services
• Install, maintain and support IT services including SFTP servers, VPN, IoT devices and Linux systems
• Monitor IT platforms, identify incidents and contribute to improvements
• Work with MySQL databases as part of daily support activities
• Provide technical support to internal and external customers, subsidiaries and partners
• Investigate technical issues and help restore services efficiently
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Project Management, After-Sales and IT teams
• Contribute to reliable operation of the bVision software family
• Participate in on-call service according to team planning
