Job summary

Boschung Mecatronic AG is seeking an IT Support Technician to strengthen our Customer Service and IT Infrastructure teams in Switzerland. The role focuses on Linux-based systems, IT service administration, and international customer support, with opportunities to work across infrastructure, software and networks.

You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain IT services, contribute to platform reliability, and collaborate with several departments to ensure smooth operation of our bVision

Qualifications

• CFC in Information Technology or equivalent qualification
• Practical experience in IT support, system administration or infrastructure support
• Good understanding of GNU/Linux systems, Debian-based environments
• Knowledge of network administration and VPN/VLAN technologies
• Able to troubleshoot across systems, applications and networks
• Familiarity with MySQL or other databases is an advantage
• Good command of English and German; French is an advantage
• Structured, reliable and hands-on mindset; able to work independently with teams
• Good communication and service orientation
• Curious and motivated to learn and improve systems

Responsibilities

• Contribute to reliable operation of the bVision software family

To strengthen our Customer Service team, Boschung Mecatronic AG is looking for an IT Support Technician who enjoys solving technical problems, working with Linux-based systems and networks, and supporting users, customers and colleagues in an international environment.

This is a varied role combining infrastructure support, troubleshooting, system administration and technical assistance. You will work closely with our Customer Service, Project Management, After‑Sales and IT teams to help ensure the smooth operation of our platforms and bVision solutions.

Your tasks

• Implement new IT infrastructure services and maintain the related technical documentation
• Support and troubleshoot IT infrastructure components and services
• Install, maintain and support IT services including SFTP servers, VPN solutions, IoT devices and Linux-based systems
• Monitor our IT platforms, identify incidents and contribute to continuous improvements
• Work with databases such as MySQL as part of daily support activities
• Provide technical support to internal and external customers, subsidiaries and partners
• Investigate technical issues and help restore services efficiently
• Collaborate closely with Customer Service, Project Management, After‑Sales and the IT Software/Infrastructure team
• Contribute to the reliable operation and support of the bVision software family
• Participate in the on-call service according to team planning

Your profile

• CFC in Information Technology (Informaticien CFC) or an equivalent qualification or professional background
• Practical experience in IT support, system administration, infrastructure support or a similar technical environment
• Good understanding of GNU/Linux systems, ideally Debian-based environments
• Knowledge of network administration and technologies such as VPN and VLAN
• Comfortable troubleshooting technical issues across systems, applications and networks
• Familiarity with MySQL or other databases is an advantage
• Good professional command of English and German; French is an advantage
• Structured, reliable and solution-oriented, with a strong hands‑on mindset
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and customer‑facing teams
• Good communication skills and a service‑oriented approach
• Curious and motivated to learn, improve systems and broaden your technical knowledge
