Responsibilities:

• Assist clients in completing their tax returns using TurboImpôt and other Intuit products.
• Review and prepare personal tax returns, including complex situations such as employment, self-employment, rental income, investments, foreign income, and various credits and deductions.
• Provide accurate tax guidance and support to clients, ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Utilize government websites and professional resources to find accurate answers and assist clients effectively.
• Document interactions and maintain precise records of client communications.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of paid professional tax preparation experience.
• Experience using professional tax software for preparing and filing personal tax returns.
• Passion for helping clients navigate tax complexities and a commitment to excellent customer service.
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting via video and audio tools.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, minimum of 20 hours per week.

Additional Assets:

• Experience with Business (T2) and Quebec (TP1) tax returns.

Skills & Abilities:

• Deep understanding of tax laws and concepts, with a proactive approach to learning.
• Strong communication and active listening skills to understand client needs.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, escalating when necessary.
• Resourcefulness and curiosity for continuous learning and improvement.
• Basic technical troubleshooting skills and interest in new tools and solutions.
