Job Summary & Key Responsibilities
HLTH 3010.03: Introduction to Research Methods is a collaborative interprofessional learning course that provides students with knowledge, skills, and experience in critiquing and integrating health research into practice. Students will learn about the philosophical underpinnings of research, research ethics, design, measurement issues, sampling, data collection strategies, data analysis, and report writing, including qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods approaches.
Format: Online Delivery.
Responsibilities: The sessional instructor will be responsible for one‑third of the workload, involving lectures (beginning in February), and for marking one‑third of the student cohort (approximately 20 students) during January–April 2026.
Knowledge of health services research and critical thinking methods; previous teaching experience desired; a relevant master’s degree preferred; experience with Brightspace or equivalent learning management systems considered an asset; excellent organizational and written communication skills are required.
The pay will be one third of the CUPE rate for half credit.
