Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team as Senior Manager, External Reporting and Accounting Policy.
Reporting to the Director, the Senior Manager will ensure compliance with accounting standards and will be responsible for the finalization, preparation, and review of financial reporting and disclosure requirements for annual and quarterly filings as set out by securities commissions or contractual requirements. The role includes producing external financial information such as press releases, annual information form (“AIF”), financial statements and management’s discussion and analysis (“MD&A”) for regulatory bodies, rating agencies, lenders and shareholders in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS.
The successful candidate will have subject matter expertise in complex technical accounting, rate regulated operations and public company reporting. It requires strong process and reporting improvement skills, people development aptitude, and stakeholder partnership.
