Project Manager - Geotechnical Engineering

Our Geotechnical team in Saskatchewan is seeking an experienced Intermediate to Senior Geotechnical Engineer with project management aptitude and interest.
This role will be based in Saskatoon, SK.
Your role within the team:
- Manage projects involving routine and complex programs across sectors such as mining, infrastructure, geohazards, and flood protection.
- Contribute to business development and proposal efforts.
- Lead projects and proposals through planning, execution, financial management, and closeout.
- Assist in planning and managing geotechnical investigations, and undertake design assessments and analysis calculations.
- Support construction activities, providing guidance and troubleshooting for QA field testing and material performance (soil, concrete).
- Analyze data and prepare recommendations and reports for projects including foundation design, infrastructure, shoring, retaining walls, slope stability, ground improvement, settlement and deformation analysis, road structure design, dykes and dams, and material testing.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures, proactively leading teams to prevent incidents.

The ideal candidate:
- Has 8+ years of Geotechnical Engineering experience with project management skills, familiar with engineering consultancy and design markets, client relationships, and work planning.
- Possesses or is eligible for a Professional Engineering License (P.Eng.) in Saskatchewan or another Canadian province.
- Has proven experience in an independent geotechnical role within a fast-paced engineering consultancy.
- CAPM or PMP designation (or interest in obtaining) is an asset.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, technical, and team development skills.
- Strong report and proposal writing skills, with ability to peer-review and produce quality deliverables.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel province-wide for short assignments.
