Contracts Specialist - 12 mo role

As a member of the Contracts Management Group, reporting into the Legal Department, the successful candidate will provide global support for the review and execution of contracts, with a focus on vendor contracts, by Mitel.

This is a temporary role for approximately 12 months.

• Review and evaluate the terms and conditions of contracts, with focus on legal requirements, to meet the needs of the business, while managing or mitigating risk for Mitel.
• Interpret and understand various contract provisions for both sales and procurement contracts, and resolve or escalate issues, as necessary.
• Oversee all aspects of managing and administering contracts, ensuring that internal processes and policies are followed.
• Drive to meet business objectives by working closely with various teams within Mitel (sales, operations, finance, product management, marketing and research and development).
• Perform general administration of contracts, including management of the contracts database and contract lifecycle.
• Other tasks as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree preferred; or high school diploma + relevant experience.
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in the review, drafting, negotiation and administration of commercial contracts.
• Strong ability to draft appropriate contracts language within the required context.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization with a customer first approach.
• Comfortable with direct negotiations with customers, suppliers and third-party vendors.
• Well-organized and detail-oriented with strong time-management skills.
• Comfortable prioritizing and managing multiple tasks and conflicting demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to complete work independently while also working as part of a team.
