A leading engineering firm in Northwestern Ontario is seeking a Structural Drafter/Designer with over 5 years of experience in heavy industrial projects. The role involves producing detailed models and drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and collaborating with a close-knit team. Candidates should have a college degree in civil engineering technology and experience with steel and concrete foundations. Competitive salary and flexible work options are offered.
WSP's ERI (Energy, Resources and Industry) Sector has an opportunity for a Structural Drafter/Designer to support the growth of our Industrial and Resources group. The successful candidate will be someone who will hit the ground running, joining a close-knit team working on heavy industrial manufacturing projects in the Greater Toronto/Hamilton area and Golden Horseshoe. Reporting to the Senior Engineer/Team Lead, you’ll work with a dynamic and busy team working on various small and medium-sized new construction and rehabilitation projects within the mining and heavy industrial sectors. The Resources Engineering group also provides service to institutional and government clients. You will apply your structural drafting expertise to support project work from conceptual design through completion. This position is located out of our Thunder Bay office.
Whether in the power, mining, oil and gas or industrial sectors, WSP provides our clients with the innovative and Future Ready solutions to responsibly extract raw materials efficiently and safely transform them into valuable products, including transport to end-user markets. From new to existing infrastructure, we understand the business drivers and project requirements that will contribute to long‑term success.
We are uniquely positioned to offer a comprehensive service offering, as well as a project experience portfolio that retains the process flexibility and customer focus of a smaller boutique firm. This includes an integrated, single‑point solution that combines industry‑leading environmental, air‑quality, geomatics, and transportation teams, further bolstering our holistic approach to project delivery.
We’re always looking for great people to join the WSP family. Could it be you?
We offer attractive pay, flexible work options, a great corporate culture, comprehensive and employee‑focused benefits including virtual healthcare and a wellness platform as well as great savings programs, and a clear vision for the future.
