Senior Full Stack Developer (ML preferred) – Contract. This posting is for our contractor database; we may reach out when a suitable project arises. We offer part-time or full-time contract opportunities with a diverse mix of consulting projects and technical stacks.

AlleyCorp Nord is a boutique consultancy building at the intersection of AI and healthcare. We solve challenging human problems by applying cutting-edge technology and domain understanding.

We are seeking a talented Senior Developer to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. You will work with clients embedded in multi-disciplinary teams of designers, data scientists, and developers. You may lead projects or work solo with a client. This role targets a senior level.

Key responsibilities include working on diverse projects across frontend and backend, with potential exposure to leadership and project coordination.

• Product development: gathering requirements, talking to stakeholders, developing features, and improving clients’ software products. Deliver high-quality code for frontend, backend, infrastructure, and data.
• Tooling: improving platform tooling, building CI/CD pipelines, test suites, and using AI coding assistants in alignment with project constraints.
• Technical project management: planning and coordinating deliverables, scope, timelines, and budgets; collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Supporting the team: mentoring junior colleagues, sharing process and tooling improvements, presenting internally, and contributing to internal tooling projects.

We are stack-agnostic but most clients use TypeScript, React, Postgres, and Node and/or Python. Our AI-heavy projects often use MLFlow, and most clients run on AWS. You should have a baseline familiarity across the stack and willingness to grow across areas you are less strong in.

Qualifications

• Have 5+ years of experience as a software developer.
• Can articulate tradeoffs in technology choices and relate them to business needs.
• Excellent communication skills; able to explain complex technical problems clearly and compassionately.
• Adaptable, self-motivated, and thrive in fast-moving environments.
• Proven mentorship and leadership experience.
• Experience in client-facing roles such as consulting, forward-deployed engineering, or product/project management.
• Experience in healthcare or other heavily regulated industries.
• Experience on AI or data products.

We are a remote-first company with office space in Montreal. We prefer to hire in Quebec but are open to candidates anywhere in the EST±2 time zone in Canada.
