Job summary

A leading facilities management company in Canada seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on kitchen appliances and electrical systems at remote camps. Ideal candidates must have a valid Driver's License and strong knowledge of plumbing systems, along with experience in industrial settings. You'll enjoy a work-life balance with a 4 week on/2 week off rotation, and all meals and accommodations will be provided.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on kitchen appliances and electrical systems in camp facilities
  • Conduct regular inspections of all electrical appliances and systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Quickly diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues in appliances and kitchen equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls related to electrical failures or appliance breakdowns
Qualifications
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and camp lift stations
  • Experience working in remote or fly-in/fly-out camps in Canada, particularly in industrial or commercial settings
  • Hands-on experience with kitchen appliances, including refrigeration units and commercial kitchen equipment
  • Ability to pass the Drug and Alcohol and Fitness Test
Preferred Qualifications
  • Journeyman Plumber or Electrician Certification
  • First Aid with CPR certification
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and record-keeping systems
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Excellent communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with the camp team
