A women's support organization in Hamilton seeks a dedicated individual to provide essential support services to women and children fleeing gender-based violence. Responsibilities include crisis intervention, supportive counselling, and advocacy. Candidates should have a social work background and experience in crisis management. Location: Hamilton, ON (Phoenix Place/Putman)
Hours of Work: 15 hours / week

Provides support and services to women and children, residing in housing at the YWCA Hamilton Transitional Living and Phoenix Place, who are fleeing gender-based violence. Supports include crisis intervention, supportive counselling, referral advocacy, goal planning, programming and group facilitation to meet the needs of women in crisis.
