Job description

Company Description

WHO ARE WE?

Dexterra Group is a fast-growing, financially strong, publicly listed company (TSX: DXT). We have a broad presence across North America with hundreds of full-time and part-time opportunities. We aim to provide our people with fulfilling opportunities in a culture that promotes stability, diversity and inclusion, camaraderie, employee recognition, work-life balance, and doing what you love. For over 75 years, Dexterra Group has been dedicated to serving North American clients by creating and managing built environments that are vital to our economy and communities. We’re proud of our legacy. Work That Matters, People Who Care.

WHAT'S THE JOB?

At Dana Hospitality, we create exceptional customer experiences that help our clients shine. Powered by passionate people, we assemble teams with the right skills to turn problems into solutions and challenges into moments of ingenuity.

As a Cashier, reporting to the Chef Manager, you will perform various customer service tasks within the food services function. This role requires excellent customer service skills and attention to detail. Growth opportunities are available for the right candidate.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as an ambassador of goodwill, ethics, and excellent client relations at all times on behalf of Dana Hospitality
  • Providing outstanding customer service to support an environment that delivers exceptional culinary experiences
  • Maintaining speed of service standards
  • Listening to internal and external customers and responding professionally to questions and concerns, escalating issues to management when necessary
  • Collecting and counting cash
  • Sweeping kitchen floors and maintaining a clean workspace
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations and procedures, including:
    • Using proper techniques with tools, supplies, and equipment (e.g., knives, ovens, cleaning materials)
    • Wearing and correctly using personal protective equipment (e.g., non-slip shoes, cut-resistant gloves)
    • Complying with FoodSafe and/or ServeSafe standards, including recording temperature-sensitive food items

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the hospitality/food service industry
  • Food Safety certification
  • WHMIS training (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Professionalism and punctuality
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

  • Benefits start on day one
  • Work-life balance
  • Competitive wages
  • Extended health benefits
  • Excellent growth opportunities
  • Join an industry leader during a growth phase, unlike many companies downsizing
  • Make your mark and be more than just a cog in a machine

Dexterra Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, protected veterans’ status, Indigenous status, or any other legally protected factors. Disability accommodations are available upon request during the application process.
