Job description

A career in Deals Valuations offers the opportunity to help organizations maximize value from existing businesses, assets, acquisitions, investments, and complex corporate arrangements. Our services include valuations for financial reporting, M&A, tax, and reorganizations, as well as valuation advice like deal pricing and value consulting to support management decisions and corporate planning. As a team member, you'll assist clients in making strategic decisions, conducting business transactions, and satisfying regulatory requirements using your professional skills and industry knowledge.

Meaningful work you'll be part of:

As a Senior Associate, you'll work on solving complex business issues from strategy to execution within a team of problem solvers. Your responsibilities include:

1. Business Valuation:
2. Understanding the business/assets being valued, including historical and projected performance, strengths, and challenges.
3. Conducting financial research on industry and economic conditions, discount rates, valuation multiples, and precedent transactions.
4. Engaging with clients to discuss their business operations and financials, enhancing valuation analysis.
5. Preparing complex valuation models to support valuation conclusions.

Assist in report preparation and audit support:

• Reviewing purchase price allocations, goodwill impairment assessments, and private equity portfolio valuations.

Collaborate across service lines to deliver valuation services alongside other PwC offerings.

Skills and experience needed:

• Interest in digital tools and technology trends; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, experience with Microsoft Power Platform, and Python.
• Commitment to diversity, development, and coaching.
• Strong financial background, excellent communication skills, analytical mindset, attention to detail, and project management skills.
• Ability to analyze business situations and interact professionally with clients and teams.
• CPA / CA designation is preferred; progress toward Chartered Business Valuator designation is a plus.
