Job description

Lounsbury Furniture in Moncton is looking for an Appliance and Electronics Buyer to support our two retail stores.

Reporting to the Director of Operations the Appliance and Electronics Buyer is responsible for sourcing purchasing and managing inventory for appliances and electronics. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of market trends excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers. Additionally the Appliance and Electronics Buyer will assist in developing the monthly marketing flyer lineup.

This position is full-time from Monday to Friday and requires you to work on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Sales Team Vendors and Director of Operations to update the core product lineup every quarter.
  • Meet regularly with the Sales team to discuss promotions product support and lineup changes.
  • Set minimum and maximum inventory levels to manage stock efficiently.
  • Plan and organize monthly sales flyers.
  • Manage appliance pricing by reviewing promotions discounts and dealer support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of products.
  • Ensure price tags are updated on time.
  • Coordinate product transfers between locations to maintain stock levels.
  • Assist with inventory counts on a monthly quarterly and yearly basis.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving administration is an asset including knowledge of tariffs fuel surcharges and currency exchange.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently.
  • A keen interest in building strategies for the appliance category.
  • High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Well-organized with a strong ability to follow through on tasks.
