Join our dynamic finance team as the Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable and Collections, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Revenue. This role focuses on partnering with our sales organization to optimize collections processes, reduce days sales outstanding (DSO), and maintain strong customer relationships. What You’ll Do :
- Develop and implement effective collections strategies to reduce DSO and minimize outstanding balances.
- Manage escalated customer inquiries or billing disputes, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Prepare and analyze reports on collection activity, at-risk accounts, and aging, collaborating with the accounting team on the monthly reserve process.
- Collaborate with the Sales team on collection inquiries and receivable reporting.
- Develop and document credit and collections policies and procedures for efficiency and compliance.
- Manage hiring, training, and performance evaluations of the collections team.
- Drive automation initiatives in cash applications and collections processes.
- Partner with order-to-cash teams to identify and address inefficiencies impacting accounts receivable.
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls and implement additional controls as necessary.
What You’ll Bring :
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in collections strategy, accounts receivable, and collections management.
- Proven experience managing and developing teams, setting clear expectations, and driving results.
- Experience managing customer relationships and resolving complex billing disputes.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership and team management capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Billing, Stripe, and Workday Financials is a plus.
- Experience with SaaS or usage-based billing models, AR automation tools, and ERP systems is beneficial.
- Ability to meet deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
