A municipal government in Canada seeks a Supervisor for Training and Development in Bylaw. This role involves designing and overseeing staff training programs, mentoring officers, and ensuring compliance with legislation. The ideal candidate has a diploma in a related field and substantial experience in bylaw services, including team supervision. Responsibilities include procurement of training materials and collaboration with internal partners. A hybrid work arrangement may be available, with competitive hourly pay of $52.96.
Work from Home The successful candidate may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that includes up to one day of work from home per week, in alignment with the City’s Work from Home Policy. Such arrangements are determined with each employee and subject to change based on operational needs and policy direction.
Flex The successful candidate would participate in a modified work week, earning a flex day off each bi‑weekly period by working additional time each day. Modified work weeks established in accordance with the CUPE Local 50 Collective Agreement and are subject to change.
The Supervisor, Training and Development, is responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing training for staff within the division. This position ensures consistent standards are applied related to onboarding, training, professional development, and performance evaluation. The role combines program design and delivery, requiring strong mentorship and technical expertise.
