About the Team & Business Line:

Fund Administration is Citco’s core business, and our alternative asset and accounting service is highly respected in the industry. Our ongoing investment in learning and technology ensures our team delivers a seamless client experience.

As a key member of our Private Assets team, you will collaborate with some of the industry’s most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients depend on.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a professional accounting designation (CFA, CGA, CMA, CA, CPA).
• 4+ years’ experience managing a team of Fund Accountants, Senior Fund Accountants, and Supervisors.
• 3-5 years of fund accounting experience in Private Equity Funds, Private Equity Fund Administrators, or similar financial institutions with financial products knowledge.
• Knowledge of US/Canadian GAAP and other comprehensive basis of accounting.
• Experience in reviewing and preparing general ledgers and financial statements.
• Proven managerial experience.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Excellent project management skills with attention to detail and multi-tasking ability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word); experience with FIS Investran PE platform is highly desirable.

Your Role:

• Lead and manage the team to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
• Implement strategic plans to meet business objectives.
• Ensure efficient daily operations.
• Oversee periodical Net Asset Value calculations for Private Equity Funds, including financial statement preparation, trial balance review, and partner/shareholder allocations.
• Review fund-specific expenses, including admin fees, management fees, and carried interest.
• Review accounting work, capital events, client deliverables, investor statements, and reporting.
• Ensure documentation compliance with internal and external standards.
• Review partnership agreements, PPMs, and other materials.
• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, standards, and regulations.
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures.
• Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy, meeting all client SLAs.
• Liaise with Investor Relations, Waterfall, Tax, Financial Reporting, and other teams globally.
• Act as a client liaison regarding Fund Accounting services.
• Ensure timely, accurate responses to client queries.
• Coordinate with external parties and manage external audits.
• Provide technical accounting expertise to clients as needed.
• Collaborate with the Client Integration team for onboarding and conversions.
• Manage and support team members, conducting performance reviews and identifying training needs.
• Foster a proactive problem-solving environment.
• Implement efficiency initiatives and generate ad hoc reports as required.
