• Prepare all aspects of food production for banquets according to hotel standards and sanitation practices.
• Prepare food items for customers using predetermined quality methods, ensuring timeliness and minimal wastage.
• Practice daily sanitation and safety protocols to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform daily cleaning and inventory of walk-in coolers, storage, and refrigerators, ensuring stock rotation and cleanliness.
• Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned after use.
• Report any equipment needing repair to the Chef immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef.
• Check your schedule regularly.

• Must have Food Safe Level 1 and Level 2 certifications. Food Safe Certification must be renewed every 2 years, at the candidate's expense.
• Red Seal Certification is recommended.
• Ability to obtain and maintain provincial and federal licenses, certificates, and permits.
• Minimum of three years of experience as a Second Cook in comparable 4-diamond hotels or restaurants is preferred.
• Completion of a recognized culinary program.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are an asset.
• Ability to work various shifts, including opening, mid-shift, and closing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance according to hotel standards.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 kg.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada with valid work or study permits, minimum 1-year validity.

$28.60 - $31.80 per hour
