Job Overview

The Resident Manager is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the property to SKPM standards, overseeing facilities services, repairs, leasing, and ensuring safety, customer service, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Tenant Relationships: Maintain strong tenant relationships, ensure prompt service, enforce rules, serve notices, and communicate effectively.
  2. Information & Relationship Management: Provide info to prospective residents, schedule viewings, follow up on guest cards, and promote tenant retention.
  3. Leasing & Lease Administration: Handle inquiries, process applications, schedule lease signings, and manage occupancy records.
  4. Rent Collection: Collect rent weekly, handle payments, and follow up on arrears.
  5. Maintenance & Repairs: Supervise repairs, coordinate with contractors, update status, respond to emergencies, and oversee building cleanliness.
  6. Cleaning & Groundskeeping: Ensure cleanliness of common areas, windows, and outdoor grounds.
  7. Safety & Compliance: Inspect safety systems, identify hazards, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  8. Scope & Emergency Response: Work with tenants and vendors, respond to emergencies within 15 minutes, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in a technical/practical role; previous Resident Manager experience preferred.
