The MRI Technologist has responsibility for the day-to-day operations of all designated MRI suites including instruction of students and direction of staff while in the area. Ensuring information of the patient requisitions meet departmental standards and correlating clinical history with examinations to be performed, the MRI Technologist assumes responsibility for complex procedures designated via indirect supervision of the radiologist. The technologist will perform imaging procedures and patient care duties while consistently applying all safety rules and techniques applicable to the magnetic and radio frequency fields in use in the MRI environment.
