Overview

Our Strategy & Economics team is looking for a competent and energetic individual interested in joining us as a consultant or senior consultant. The candidate should have a strong track record, and demonstrate strong analytical, writing, and communication skills, as well as proven abilities to work in a team as part of complex projects.


What you will do

The candidate will work within a dynamic and experienced team that provides strategic and economic advice to clients from the public, private, and non-profit sectors. This new colleague will contribute to the success of a vast range of projects, such as:

  • Market research and industry analysis
  • Economic impact studies
  • Economic development and foreign investment attraction strategies
  • Support to major investment projects
  • Public policy analysis
  • Various macro- and microeconomic analyses
  • Strategic planning exercises
  • Business plan preparation

You will be asked to:

  • Contribute to key initiatives related to Quebec and Canadian economic development
  • Support businesses and various organizations with an array of strategic issue reviews related to growth and development
  • Work on qualitative and quantitative analysis, involving in particular statistics, partially structured interviews, discussion groups and literature reviews
  • Summarize studies and broad findings in the form of presentations and reports well expressed in excellent French and English using Word and PowerPoint
  • Support the growth of the firm and the practice by taking part in various intellectual initiatives

What you bring to the role

We're looking for candidates who are passionate about strategy & economy, with:

  • Relevant professional experience (1 to 6 years) during which you have acquired competencies in our main fields of expertise (e.g., in economic or strategy consulting, within an economic development organization, etc.).
  • A master's degree combined with an excellent academic record, preferably in the following fields: economics, finance, strategy, or any other relevant technical field.
  • Advanced quantitative skills (data analysis, statistical analysis, economic modeling). Proficiency in econometric techniques and/or programming such as Python and R (an asset).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience developing compelling presentations and reports.
  • Excellent teamwork and relationship building skills.
  • A proven track record of being able to take initiative, exercise sound judgment, analyze and solve problems.
  • A proven ability to handle a broad range of activities with competing priorities.
  • Strong relationship-building skills that will enable you to easily interact with clients, colleagues, and the wider community.
  • A commitment to continual learning – developing new skills, taking on new responsibilities and broadening your knowledge through research.
  • Relevant work experience during which you have gained knowledge of our main business sectors (an asset).
