We are looking for an experienced Water Resources Project Manager to work on complex wastewater, stormwater and water supply projects primarily on Vancouver Island. In this role you will be responsible for the development, management, delivery and financial performance of projects. You will perform a wide variety of engineering tasks, from feasibility studies, preliminary engineering and final design to report writing and development of contract documents. We want our Project Managers to be versatile, enthusiastic, able to work in highly flexible, team-oriented environments, and have exceptional communication, diagnostic, and organizational skills.

Core Responsibilities include:

  • Manage delivery of wastewater, stormwater and water supply projects, including linear infrastructure and pump stations, and supporting stormwater and utility aspects of highway design projects.
  • Prepare, supervise and provide technical review of design drawings, engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
  • Prepare scope of work and technical client proposals.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal team and external clients/agencies.
  • Lead and supervise project teams.
  • Participate in project meetings including site visits and field inspections.
  • Act as Parsons' representative with the client and external team for program delivery.
  • Negotiate changes to the scope of work with the client and subconsultants.
  • Market and secure additional work with client.
  • Develop key clients on Vancouver Island.
  • Oversee establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
  • 10+ years of experience with wastewater, stormwater and water supply projects.
  • Experience working in Victoria with Regional District and BC Ministry of Transportation & Infrastructure is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) required.
  • Understanding of AutoCAD/Civil 3D to enable management of design teams.
  • Proven written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to apply advanced engineering techniques and practices as well as solve complex engineering problems.
  • Must have the ability to manage projects, interact with clients and enjoy being hands‑on technically in projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards.

Salary Range: $113,100 - $210,200.
