The Saul & Claribel Simkin Centre is a 200-bed Jewish Personal Care Home dedicated to serving older adults of all backgrounds with compassion, dignity, and excellence in care. We are currently seeking an experienced and people-oriented professional to join our team as a Volunteer Engagement Specialist for a three-year term.

Part Time .6 EFT – 3 Year Term
Hours of Work: Primarily daytime hours, with flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as required.
The Volunteer Engagement Specialist is directly responsible to the Manager of Resident Experience. This position is responsible for all volunteers and volunteer related programming. This includes but is not limited to volunteer recruitment, management of existing volunteer base, initiation and management of new volunteer programs, filling volunteer requests from within the facility and management of volunteer data base.
Certificate or Diploma in Volunteer Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Proven ability to cultivate and sustain strong relationships with community organizations, families, and individuals to support facility goals and resident engagement.
