SCOPE

The Engineering Operations Division is looking to add a Truck Driver 2 to its team. This role involves operating and performing light maintenance on a tandem axle truck equipped with seasonal attachments, as well as carrying out routine construction and maintenance duties.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS

Regular Full-Time (CUPE)

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, and equipment under varying traffic and road conditions.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of equipment, including checks of oil, fuel levels, tires, lights, lubrication, and safety operations.
  • Operate various truck attachments such as plows, sanders, side delivery conveyors, and water tanks.
  • Maintain accurate records of fuel usage and vehicle mileage.
  • Assist crew members in the performance of assigned duties.
  • Assist with maintenance tasks and respond to inquiries from the public.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Completion of Grade 12.
  • Driving experience on air brake equipped trucks.
  • Valid Class 3 B.C. Driver’s License with air brake endorsement and safe driving record.
