Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, Compliance Training, the Supervisor, Compliance Training is responsible for managing the delivery and scheduling of compliance courses for all workers and contractors at Highland Valley Copper.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a courageous safety leader by adhering to and promoting safety and environmental standards across all training and apprentice activities.
  • Manage compliance trainer workloads and classroom capacity.
  • Monitor overdue compliance training and follow-up as needed to ensure completion.
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Maintain LMS compliance data by regularly updating training records and correcting discrepancies for reliable reporting.
  • Coordinate contractor onboarding and gate access by verifying compliance requirements and managing entry logistics.
  • Track and confirm 100% compliance with statutory training requirements.
  • Supervise, mentor and develop Compliance Training Coordinators.
  • Report on compliance status to the Senior Supervisor, Compliance Training and the Operations Teams.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as progress achieved against training plans and improvement plans.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in training participation, development, and retention practices.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in training delivery and stakeholder engagement.
  • Support supervisors in resolving workplace challenges and act as a liaison among supervisors to ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Monitor and manage training-related expenditures and optimize resource use to ensure cost-effective program delivery.
  • Demonstrate and promote core values of Safety, Sustainability, Integrity, Respect, Excellence, and Courage.
  • Support mobilization of external vendors and contractors, as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent;
  • 5-8 years of relevant leadership experience, or a combination of education, certification, awards, and experience;
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience working with site-wide organizational systems and productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SAP SuccessFactors);
  • Exemplary safety leadership;
  • Strong organization and scheduling skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple crews and rosters
  • Personable, adaptable, and energetic, with strong communication (both written and verbal), organizational, and interpersonal skills;
  • Proficiency with training management software, learning management systems (LMS), and other digital tools to streamline administrative tasks and enhance the training experience;
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively identify and address compliance gaps
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with accuracy in managing training records, evaluations, and documentation essential for tracking progress and assessing program effectiveness.
  • Strong ability to analyze training data and feedback to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance the impact of training initiatives;
  • Capable of anticipating and addressing potential issues or challenges, such as compliance gaps or participant conflicts;
  • Able to uphold ethical standards in managing training programs, maintaining confidentiality, and treating all participants fairly and impartially.
  • Possess a valid driver's license;

Salary Range: CAD $106,000 - $131,000 per year

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
