Job description

A Traffic Controller is responsible for directing and managing the flow of vehicles and pedestrians in and around a designated area. They ensure the safety of all parties while also making sure that traffic moves efficiently. A valid G license is required, along with experience in traffic control or a related field.

Job Description:
  1. Direct vehicles and pedestrians to ensure safety and efficiency
  2. Monitor traffic flow and adjust signals and signs as needed
  3. Communicate with other traffic controllers and emergency services as necessary
  4. Enforce traffic laws and regulations
  5. Implement detours and traffic control plans during special events or emergencies
  6. Provide assistance to disabled or stranded motorists
  7. Maintain records of traffic control activities
Job Requirements
  1. Valid Traffic Controller certification or the ability to obtain one
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  3. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail
  4. Able to work in all weather conditions
  5. Ability to stand, walk, and/or direct traffic for extended periods
  6. Quick decision-making abilities and adaptability to changing situations
  7. Valid G license
  8. Ability to lift over 50 lbs
  9. Comfortable working with tablets and computers
