The National Diabetes Trust is Canada’s largest charitable clothing and small household good collection service. With more than 5,000 donations bins and an active home pick-up service in communities across Canada (excluding Quebec), we collect unwanted gently used clothing and household items, using them to raise much-needed funds for Diabetes Canada.
Each year, the program diverts more than 100 million pounds of clothing and household items from landfill sites across Canada. As an employee on the National Diabetes Trust team, you are part of our national coverage in 2,500 communities, with 28 operations and 100 trucks. Reporting to the Director Business Development, the Territory Sales Representative, is responsible for finding, developing, and closing new business within the defined geographic territory of Peterborough - Durham - Sudbury - Ottawa. Travel is typically once a year to Sudbury and twice a year to Ottawa. Durham and Peterborough should be the main focus on a regular basis.
Starting salary is $58,000 annually. Compensation will vary based on the volume of new Bin placements acquired. Each approved Bin Site placement pays $500.00 (must meet Return on Investment (ROI) requirements for profitability), i.e./ on average, the sales Rep would secure 40-45 new site locations = $20,000+.
