Donna Cona Inc. is currently seeking a Technical Support Specialist, for one of our key government clients.

Candidate MUST have the following:

  • A valid security clearance at the level of Enhanced Reliability;
  • A degree or equivalent education in a related discipline such as Computer Science, Business Computing, Engineering, or Commerce;
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience maintaining and supporting application, infrastructure, and security solutions in a large organization;
  • General knowledge of IT industry technology and best practices and specific knowledge in security and infrastructure technologies such as web servers, application servers, Intel / Linux / AIX servers, workstations, databases, network, Cloud Computing, Automation, Logging methodologies and platforms Splunk, SIEM / Syslog;
  • Automation or scripting background with PowerShell, Python, GitLab and Ansible;
  • Attention to detail, effective at planning, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, self-organized and a demonstrated self-starter with the ability to influence others;
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience working in a team environment; and
  • Demonstrated desire to implement change and make a contribution to the organization and with a proven history of making appropriate decisions and recommendations.

Candidate should have the following demonstrated experience:

  • Demonstrating strong fundamentals and best-practices while working hands‑on with a variety of technologies;
  • Following ITIL best practices re: incident management, problem management, and change management;
  • Completing deliverables and delivering solutions with the highest possible quality in the most efficient and effective manner;
  • Crystal clear communication skills and providing detailed documentation as required;
  • Providing support to existing technology stacks such as GitLab, Ansible, and NXLog;
  • Embodying world‑class service and support;
  • Deploying solution components and participating in appropriate functional and non‑functional testing;
  • Working with internal and external stakeholder teams to implement / validate solution integration points;
  • Participating in meeting and training events with a willingness to share knowledge and learn from others;
  • Demonstrating commitment to respectful workplace and workplace diversity initiatives;
  • Fostering the department’s culture with a focus on teamwork and stewardship with business units; and
  • Supporting continual improvements of squad and department methods, tools, and techniques.
