Dyna-Pro Environmental is seeking a dynamic Technical Sales Representative to drive growth in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Northern Ontario. If you have a passion for engineered products and services in municipal, commercial, and industrial water treatment, this is your opportunity to make an impact!

About Dyna-Pro Environmental’s Engineering Division Our Engineering Division leads engineering development and engineered sales, supplying top-tier products and services to the water treatment industry. We cover equipment for plants of all sizes, including pumps, filters, valves, controls, membrane filtration units, UV disinfection, and chemicals. Our services encompass engineering assessments, consulting for new projects, equipment service, aftermarket parts, installation, commissioning, bench testing, jar testing, and pilot system testing.

Job Description As a Technical Sales Representative, you'll focus on developing multi-market business across Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Northern Ontario. You'll promote our full range of engineered products and services by engaging with engineering firms, owners, mechanical contractors, and water treatment plant operators. This role involves some overnight travel (estimated 10-15%) and a minimum of 2 days per week in outside sales activities. A valid Class 5 driver’s license is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell company products, concepts, and services to prospects, specifiers, buyers, distributors, and users.
  • Research and report marketplace and competitive information for sales strategy, planning, and review.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects, and distributors.
  • Develop and implement promotion plans (e.g., group presentations, regional shows, training seminars, branch visits, and installation tours) with manager approval.
  • Track major construction, expansion, or retrofit projects relevant to our business.
  • Identify potential bid/spec work from sites like MERX or Bids and Tenders, and collaborate with engineering to submit competitive bids.
  • Determine market pricing guidelines or recommend special pricing for manager approval.
  • Identify needs for detailed marketing or engineering information and recommend strategies/materials to boost sales.
  • Create complete quotations for components, systems, and services in partnership with Engineering and Service departments.
  • Maintain a database of quotations, margins, open orders, and pending orders.
  • Identify markets/opportunities requiring stock and recommend minimum inventory levels.
  • Stay current on job knowledge and skills; advise manager of training needs.
  • Report activities, progress, market info, new ideas, expenses, and other data as requested.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • 2-5 years of outside sales experience in the water treatment industry, with knowledge in one or more of: municipal/commercial water treatment, plumbing, groundworks, pumps, filtration technologies, or UV disinfection.
  • Proven ability to build long-term relationships with engineers, contractors, owners, and distributors.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, above-average mechanical aptitude, and comfort interacting with diverse customers.
  • University degree or diploma in engineering technology, business, or a related field is an asset.
  • Willingness to travel and hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
