Job summary

Roots is seeking a Team Lead for an on-site role at our Alberta location. You will supervise the sales team, drive exceptional customer experiences, and support store leadership with daily operations. The ideal candidate has retail apparel experience and a proven leadership track record.

Qualifications

• 1+ years related experience in a retail apparel environment; luxury retail experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead a sales team and be viewed as a leader among peers.
• Experience with POS management, daily banking procedures and timely reporting.
• Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for exceptional customer experience.
• Collaborative but self-motivated, able to adapt to varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the sales team to exceed goals and deliver outstanding in-store experiences.
• Support store and assist management in operations during absences.
• Model selling and customer service behaviours for staff.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and inventory tasks as needed.
• Coordinate with management to implement action plans for better results.
• Provide onboarding and training for new associates.
• Coach staff on customer service fundamentals and give feedback.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Manage scheduling, breaks, and shift coverage to maximize efficiency.
• Communicate performance feedback to management.
