Qualifications

• Must have resided in Canada for the past 5 years.
• At least 1 year of experience in a security role.
• Able to pass Public Works Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Check.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the protection of individuals, property, and assets within the facility.
• Escort detainees using restraints as necessary.
• Observe and monitor detainee behaviour and report concerns.
• Conduct regular foot patrols both indoors and outdoors.
• Respond to emergency situations using tactical de-escalation techniques.

As a CBSA Tactical Security Guard, you will work in a high-security facility supporting detention operations, access control, patrols, and incident response. Responsibilities for Canada Border Services Agency Tactical Security Guard

• Ensure the protection of individuals, property, and assets within the facility
• Escort detainees within the premises using restraints as necessary for safety
• Demonstrate empathy and compassion while working with individuals under stress
• Observe and monitor detainee behaviour and report concerns
• Conduct regular foot patrols – both indoors and outdoors
• Utilize security software and equipment effectively
• Conduct frequent wellness checks
• Generate accurate incident and daily reports
• Respond swiftly to emergency situations using tactical de-escalation techniques

Qualifications for Canada Border Services Agency Tactical Security Guard

• Valid BCSecurity Guard License
• Valid First Aid Level 1 (OFA1) – an asset
• Advanced Security Training (AST) – an asset
• Must have resided in Canada for the past 5 years
• High school diploma or equivalent (proof of education required)
• Able to pass Public Works Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Check
• At least 1 year of experience in a security role
• Demonstrated ability to act decisively in high-pressure situations
• Strong communication and customer service skills
