Description

You are an aspiring Superintendent with over 5 years of concrete structure and field operations experience. You have led structure crews working in multi‑disciplinary large‑scale, commercial and residential projects. You will ensure compliance with safety protocols, schedules, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations. Essential Responsibilities
  • Oversee the structural trades and this scope of work to ensure the successful delivery of a single complex commercial construction project to completion
  • Ensure that field staff and trade contractors are equipped with the resources required to efficiently complete projects according to approved plans, specifications and applicable building codes while ensuring that safety regulations are strictly followed
  • Create 3‑week schedules for this scope of work for all trade contractors and handle material take‑off and ordering of gravel, sand, concrete, formwork accessories, water stop, lumber, heating and tarping equipment
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining survey controls along with quality control checks prior to concrete placement. Includes review of all reinforcing steel, slab penetrations, and embedded materials for electrical, mechanical, and envelope systems
  • Work collaboratively with safety personnel to ensure adherence to Ledcor’s Corporate safety programs and policies
  • Ensure all projects follow Ledcor’s Construction Operations Manual and lead the development of the Project Quality Program (PQP), ensuring PEP conformance
  • Review and maintain schedule, ensure milestones are met, identify scheduling issues and delays and lead solution development
  • Promote the overall site safety program including subcontractor compliance with Ledcor standards, the Project Specific Safety Plan (PSSP), and all applicable OH&S acts, regulations, and codes
  • Oversee the care and maintenance of internal and rental equipment on projects to maximize use while on the job sites and return equipment to storage or the rental company when no longer required
  • Submit hourly timecards with all necessary details for job costing purposes
  • Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients/consultants to ensure client needs are met and ensure future business opportunities
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of construction experience in a Foreperson or Formwork Superintendent position or similar role with experience in Mass timber, Structural Steel, Reinforcing steel etc.
  • Experience working on construction projects within high rise residential, mass timber, healthcare, data centers, aircraft hangars, aviation warehousing facilities, or other complex projects
  • Combination of work experience in a similar role and industry related trade certification/education
  • Expertise in safety within the organization and knowledge of OH&S and Environmental standards and regulations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, and the ability to work with senior management
  • Strong technical knowledge of modern construction practices, documents, drawings, schedules, technologies, equipment, industry practices and contract negotiations
  • Ability to anticipate problems and challenges, while providing leadership in creating innovative solutions to achieve organizational objectives
Working Conditions
  • Site based position in Vancouver, BC
  • Valid driver’s license and clean abstract
  • Successful completion of a pre‑employment drug and alcohol test
Compensation

$80,000.00 – $110,000.00

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
