Job summary

This role focuses on developing and optimizing integrated mine plans while collaborating with cross-functional teams including geotechnical, operations, and regulatory staff. The ideal candidate must possess a relevant engineering degree, a minimum of 5 years of experience in open-pit mining, and familiarity with mine design software. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in open-pit mining or oil sands operations.
  • Strong understanding of oil sands geology, mine planning, and mining economics.
  • Possess a valid Class 5 driver's license with no driving restrictions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop detailed mine plans.
  • Lead the development of life-of-mine plans.
  • Maintain and update mining models and performance reporting.
