Job summary

Dollarama in Toronto seeks an Assistant Team Leader to support store operations, lead staff, and ensure excellent customer service. You will handle daily tasks, safety, and cash duties while contributing to a positive, efficient store environment.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. Flexible day/evening/weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• At least one year of relevant experience in retail.
• At least one year in a supervisory role.
• Flexible availability including days, evenings, and weekends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Customer service-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist the management team in managing store operations and staff.
• Boxing and unboxing daily shipments.
• Stocking daily products on shelves.
• Climbing ladders to reach all areas of the store.
• Providing good customer service and resolving customer issues.
• Ensuring store safety and cleanliness standards are maintained.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Following up on assigned tasks.
• Conducting manager-on-duty tasks: tracking breaks, time and attendance, and participating in hiring and performance management.
