Job summary

A fire protection services company in Kelowna, BC is seeking a full-time Sprinkler Fitter helper. Responsibilities include assisting in the installation of fire protection systems and performing job site organization. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience in the fire protection industry and familiarity with pipefitting. This position offers $30 per hour for 40 hours a week.

Qualifications

• 1 Year of Fitter Helper or related experience in the fire protection industry.
• Experience with plastic and steel pipefitting.
• Ability to operate hand-held power tools such as drills and impact drivers.

Responsibilities

• Transport, load and unload pipes, fittings, and materials at job sites.
• Assist journeyman and foreman to fabricate and install pipes and fittings.
• Perform job site organization and cleanup duties.

Knox Fire Protection Inc. is seeking an experienced Sprinkler Fitter helper to join the team in Kelowna, BC.

Knox Fire Protection Inc. is an industry-leader for fire protection services in the Okanagan region of British Columbia providing tailored solutions for design, installation and ongoing maintenance of residential and commercial fire protection systems.

Key Responsibilities

– Transport, load and unload pipes, fittings, sprinkler heads and other materials at job sites.
– Assist journeyman and foreman to fabricate and install pipes, fittings and sprinkler heads on site.
– Assist the journeyman/foreman to add the thread or grooves at the ends of the pipes.
– Assist in prepping and drilling surfaces to install pipes.
– Perform job site organization and cleanup duties such as moving materials and removing packaging, debris and unused material.
– Assist journeyman and foreman by completing other related duties assigned by them.

Key Experience Required

– 1 Year of Fitter Helper or related experience required in the fire protection industry.
– Previous experience with plastic and steel pipefitting required.
– Experience in operating hand held power tools such as drills and impact drivers.
