A school district in Canada is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist for a part-time role (0.4 FTE), effective January 1, 2026. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various teams and have experience with students who have autism spectrum disorders and those requiring communication support. Strong communication, collaboration, and the ability to adapt are essential. Applicants must hold a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and have membership with the appropriate health college.
School District No. 42 (SD42) meets the learning needs of approximately 16,000 students of all ages in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, and is defined by its determination to keep student learning and growth at the heart of all its decisions. With an annual budget of over $200M and over 2,000 staff, the school district provides K-12 educational services in 22 elementary schools, six secondary schools, and two alternative schools. SD42 is accepting applications for a 0.4 FTE Continuing as qualified Speech-Language Pathologist effective January 1, 2026. As part of our Learning Services Team, the Speech-Language Pathologist will have experience working within the elementary and secondary school context and the ability to work collaboratively with school-based teams and families. The Speech-Language Pathologist will have knowledge and experience working with students with autism spectrum disorders and students who require augmentative communication systems, and will have outstanding communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills and the ability to be flexible and creative.
