Job description

On behalf of our client, Grand River Personnel is searching for great candidates for a Shipper/Receiver in WATERLOO. The selected candidate must have a Valid Forklift Licence (not “in-house”) and a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role.

Shift: This is a FULL-TIME position, Monday -Thursday 7:00am – 3:30pm, Fridays 7:00am – 3:00pm to start in January 2026

Pay Rate: $18.75+ 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly!

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare customer orders for shipment and handle basic shipping paperwork and courier arrangements.
  • Help keep inventory accurate by counting materials, restocking items, and maintaining tidy storage areas.
  • Keep the warehouse clean and organized each day, including sweeping, putting items back where they belong, and maintaining general order.
  • Assist with trailer activity by recording trailer movements, doing basic checks, and ensuring trailers are safely secured during loading.
  • Support production by labeling materials, mixing resins, cleaning equipment filters, and making sure workstations have the packaging and supplies they need.
  • Move materials and completed products around the facility, and wrap or remove items at the end of production runs.
  • Complete simple administrative tasks such as filing or paperwork when required.
  • Take part in workplace improvement efforts, including safety, organization, and efficiency projects.
  • Operate a forklift safely once trained.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role.
  • Familiar with shipping processes, obtaining freight quotes
  • Proficient with MS Office Programs, Shipping interfaces
  • Ability to work in a safety conscious manner and perform safety inspections of Forklift
  • Attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication in English
  • CSA Approved Footwear
  • Reliable, punctual and dependable with a great attitude
