Job description

Come join ETC's Middleton logistics team as our newest Shipper! This first-shift position will involve preparing orders for shipment, using SAP software, and ensuring that our customer’s requirements are met.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, great teamwork skills, and a can-do attitude. This role is responsible for preparing orders of varying sizes for shipment so being able to handle more physically demanding work is necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Pulls product orders and prepares for shipment.
  • Completes daily orders
  • Ensures customer requirements are met.
  • Fully utilizes internal bar coding processes to ensure accuracy
  • Verifies the correct product ships against the sales order
  • Correctly processes orders in the ERP and Shipping computer systems
  • Determines most effective shipping method and vendor.
  • Uses approved vendors for specific shipping methods when appropriate.
  • Ensures custom shipping requirements are met.
  • Communicates shipping issues effectively with other ETC employees, vendors etc
  • Ensures identifiable needs and issues are communicated in a timely fashion.
  • Maintains a stocked, neat and safe environment.
  • Stocks shipping materials at an acceptable level at all times
  • Ensures that after shipping day is completed, floor is swept, tools are returned to designated locations and area is orderly.
  • Ensures protective eyeglasses are worn as directed by company policy.
  • Completes daily data entry and reports.
  • Enters information and ensures reports are delivered to the appropriate personnel daily.
  • Assist in other areas of manufacturing during periods of slow volume.
  • This position may require work hours that extend beyond the scheduled hours based on the daily volume.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Special projects and requests are completed in a timely and positive fashion.
